Engineering dependable systems in regulated, high-stakes domains.
I'm a California-based software engineer with 10+ years of experience building backend platforms, distributed workflows, and full-stack products. My work has centered on domains where correctness matters: healthcare pharmacy systems, real estate platforms, and lending infrastructure. Most recently I built a prescription system of record handling roughly tens of millions of API requests per month, replacing a legacy monolith without interrupting a regulated pharmacy operation. I care about migration paths that are reversible, observability from day one, and systems other engineers can safely change.
Experience
Senior Software Engineer · BlinkRx
Mar 2022 – Jul 2026
Greenfield-built a prescription system of record (Python/Django, PostgreSQL, EKS) handling 59.5M API requests per month, replacing a legacy pharmacy monolith through shadow-mode migration. Also built the pharmacy transfer pipeline, the Rx deduplication compliance system, PBM insurance integrations adding 323K claims per month, LangGraph workflows for unstructured eRx notes, and 8 disaster-recovery runbooks.
Senior Software Engineer · CoStar Group
Oct 2018 – Mar 2022
Built backend and full-stack systems for Apartments.com and Homes.com, including Kafka-based messaging and tour scheduling services supporting 1,500+ apartment communities. Mentored associate developers and conducted technical interviews.
Software Development Engineer · QuickBridge Funding
Oct 2018 – Jul 2019
Built a Twilio SMS solution for a loan-processing CRM with AngularJS, ASP.NET Core, and SQL Server, enabling two-way communication between loan agents and clients. Led the migration from .NET Framework to .NET Core for Linux container hosting.
Software Engineer · CU Direct
Jun 2015 – Oct 2018
Built loan-origination features and NServiceBus microservices connecting the lending system with car-dealership platforms using WPF, ASP.NET, and SQL Server.
Research · Sorin Lab
Distributed computing for RNA structure.
From Oct 2012 to Jun 2017, I worked in the Sorin Lab at California State University, Long Beach, analyzing Folding@Home simulations and contributing to research on RNA pseudoknot folding.
Project
Oct 2012 – Jun 2017
Folding@Home Data Analysis
Associated with Sorin Lab · California State University, Long Beach
Designed and implemented Perl scripts for analyzing biomolecule simulation data, contributing to a peer-reviewed publication. Collaborated with the principal investigator on data-analysis requirements and mentored new contributors through the codebase and review process.
Ensemble simulations: folding, unfolding and misfolding of a high-efficiency frameshifting RNA pseudoknot
Nucleic Acids Research · Jan 23, 2017
A distributed-computing molecular-dynamics study of a 26-nucleotide potato leaf roll virus RNA pseudoknot. The work used more than 40 starting structures and nearly 120 μs of cumulative sampling to characterize native, intermediate, and misfolded states and the role of conformational plasticity in frameshifting.

Volunteer Staff · VaccinateCA
Called hospitals, pharmacies, and other providers across California to verify whether they were administering vaccines, then reported the information so people could find current vaccination sites. I also contributed to maintaining VaccinateCA's JavaScript web application.
